MEMORABLE NIGHT AT ST MALACHYS HALL

"UNBELIEVABLE - everybody loved it" said the effervescent Ann Flynn, as the lady from The Willows reflected on the Night of Nostalgia dance at St.Malachy's Hall in Edendork.
Six months or hard work came to fruition on Sunday week when 400 people took a ramble down memory lane to the days of their youth when they made their way to the marvellous local mecca of dancing and romance, the whole idea of the revival being the r
aising of money to boost the fundraising activities of St.Patrick's Church, Dungannon.
"The hall was at looking at its most magnificence. It was looking superbly well, with the chandelier glowing. It really was spectacular and everybody present was delighted" said a jubilant Ann, who spent many a wonderful Sunday night there when she was Miss Donnelly from Irish Street.
"My phone never stopped all last week, with calls and texts galore as people wanted to express their thanks and say how much they enjoyed the evening.
"There were about 400 present, not including the artists and workers. We could have sold many more tickets, but we didn't want a massive number of people turning up because it was essentially a night that was all about dancing - so it was important to leave plenty of room on the floor for that.
