AN Aughnacloy man who was sentenced to one month in a young offenders centre has failed to turn up for an appeal hearing.
Ryan McCollum 21, from Moore Street, was handed a 120 hour community service order on August 24 last year, after being convicted of possessing an offensive weapon in public.

However he breached the order on three consecutive occasions and was brought back to magistrates court, where he was ordered into custody.

Bail to appeal sentencing was set in the sum of £200 but McCollum did not in attend Dungannon crown court for the hearing leading Judge McFarland to issue a Bench Warrant.
