DUNGANNON man Paul Clements, 42, is set to trek the Grand Canyon in May in aid of Action Cancer.
Paul is undertaking this gruelling 60 mile, 5 day challenge in memory of his late mother, Bernadette Clements (nee McIntosh) who sadly lost her battle with cancer in October 2009.

As a consequence of Paul’s mother’s late diagnosis, he is endeavour
ing to raise funds to support Action Cancer’s mission of early detection and prevention of cancer. Indeed, Bernadette herself lost four siblings to cancer in recent years.

A past pupil of St.Patrick’s Academy and former player with Dungannon Thomas Clarkes GFC, Paul is determined to make his contribution to Action Cancer’s “fight for freedom from cancer”, and seeks support in his effort.

“As most, if not all of us, will know someone in our own circle of family and friends, whose life has been touched by cancer, I welcome any assistance by way of sponsorship, attendance at fundraising events, or donation of prizes”.

Paul is in the process of organising fundraising activities, one of which is a Pub Quiz to be held in McAleer’s Bar, Dungannon at 9 pm, Thursday 11th February. This promises to be a great night in a venue renowned

for hosting top-notch quizzes, featuring a state-of-the-art scoring system. Why not come along to test your grey matter, enjoy the craic and support a great local cause ?

Alternatively, you can support Paul by donating online at www.justgiving.com/PaulClementsAgainstCancer, or by contacting Paul on 07784847134 or pdclem67@googlemail.com.
