IT'S still unclear whether the 27 year old man arrested after an alleged disturbance in a Cookstown bar last Sunday night, will face further interviews with police or be formally charged.
The man – understood to be Tyrone GAA hero Owen Mulligan – was quizzed for over two hours by detectives on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
Police were called to the Conway Inn on Chapel Street around 10.30pm last Sunday when windows in the licensed premises were smashed and the main door of the bar damaged.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed a 27 year old male was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
It's believed police questioned the man about the alleged use of a workshop floor scraper.
Mulligan, who's a member of Cookstown's Fr Rocks GAA club, has helped Tyrone secure two prestigious All Ireland titles in 2003 and 2005.
