Dungannon 2-6 Edendork 0-10
With nine minutes left, it seemed Edendork would hold the early 2008 bragging rights over bitter rivals Dungannon; but a late collapse, when a point ahead and with an extra man, allowed The Clarkes to finish on top.
A couple of late first half goals, the first a fumble in the Edendork goalmouth after Dara O'Hagan dropped in a speculative shot on 27 minutes, was followed by a penalty finish from Sean McIntosh to ease the home side in front, 2-3 to 0-5, despite having been out played for most of the half.
It was a similar story after the break. Edendork halved the lead before Dungannon full forward Paul Coulter received a straight red from Pomeroy referee John Devlin for striking, then took the lead with three more points, six minutes into the final quarter.
But Dungannon scored the final three points, John McGuckin receiving a second yellow in overtime adding to the basement side's woes.
Derrylaughan 0-12 Trillick 1-9
Both teams will have had that winning feeling at different stages of this game but at the end of a competitive 60 minutes of football, a draw was rewarding for each.
And while the home attackers, particularly teenager Fergal McAliskey, was doing the business up top goalkeeper Brian McCann can be content with his role on the return to the line up, a couple of classy saves late in the game denying Trillick their bid for a win.
Trillick held a 0-4 to 0-3 lead at halftime and despite playing against the wind, stretched their advantage to four points before the home side hit a purple patch scoring six on the spin to edge ahead.
The advantage swung back to the visitors in the final quarter via a goal from Niall Donnelly either side of points from Mattie Donnelly but Derrylaughan battled back with Fergal McAliskey completing his six point haul with two minutes to go.
Greencastle 0-7 Moy 0-11
One week earlier Moy lost to Rock after having three men sent off, just two were sent to the line at Greencastle on Thursday night and the Tir na nOgs coped well with their loss to take a slightly flattering four point victory, a strong finish from Sean Cavanagh a key element in their success.
Moy started the game well and led 0-5 to 0-4 at the break. Ryan Mellon hit the last two scores for Moy before halftime; but, three minutes into the second half, he was dismissed by Trillick referee Francie Gallagher for a foolish retaliation.
Greencastle looked to have benefitted greatly from the loss of the county star as points from Barry McNulty and Shane McCullagh had the home team ahead for the first time on 35 minutes.
But Moy had more to offer and fired over three points either side of a Kevin Ferrity score as the influence of Sean Cavanagh eased the visitors to a win, the loss of Colm Cavanagh to a second yellow in injury time having no impact on their success.
Stewartstown 5-12 Eskra 1-11
Castlederg referee Gerald McCallion's decision to dismiss Stewartstown full forward Declan Mitchell and Eskra fullback Chris Kelly in the opening minute of the game might have been harsh on the teams but it was correct and initially it seemed to be balanced.
Within minutes, though, Stewartstown appeared to have a massive advantage as the space afforded to the home attack resulted in four first half goals, two apiece for Gareth Devlin and Anton Coyle.
Stewartstown's 4-7 to 0-3 lead at the break virtually ended the game as a contest.
Points for Peter Armour and Gareth Devlin extended this early in the second half and after Eskra had their best spell of the game, five points scored while conceding just one, a goal from minor Odhran McCoy, his first senior score, ended the game on a comfortable high for the Harps.

Dungannon 2-12 Urney 3-9
After going into the weekend without anything to show for their efforts Dungannon came perilously close to collecting their second brace of points inside forty eight hours only to be denied by a late Urney goal.
Substitute Ronan Lafferty proved to be the St.Columbas hero with that last gasp major with less than a minute left to play.
The visitors had the better of things in the opening half hour and goals from James McMenamin and Johnny Lafferty saw them lead 2-3 to 0-5 at the break, Sean McIntosh with three points for the Clarkes.
By the three quarter mark the hosts were ahead thanks to a Mickey Hands goal from the penalty spot followed by another major moments later from Conal Morgan.
Conor McGinn and Stephen Kelly exchanged points with Chris Bogle and Johnny Lafferty and in a thrilling finale that late goal rescued the visitors
Eskra 0-8 Clann na Gael 1-15
At halftime in this encounter division two leaders Clann na nGael looked like they were going to have a fight on their hands to maintain their one hundred percent start to the season but a power packed second half display left them emphatic winners on their trip to Eskra.
A Ryan Garland brace was all that the Emmetts could muster after the break in what was a far cry from their first half display as they more than matched their opponents in every department of the field with Garland, Conor McGirr and Peter Hughes their marksmen.
Gareth McDermott led the way in the scoring stakes for the visitors with four second half points to go along with the three he landed in the opening period, with county captain Brian Dooher also on target three times before substitute James Gormley put the icing on the cake when he goaled with his first touch three minutes from time
Gortin 0-11 Trillick 0-12
There's a thin line between success and failure and that was evident here at Gortin as the hosts again failed to win on home soil whereas Trillick remain one of only two unbeaten sides in this division.
Mattie Donnelly proved to be the St.Macartans hero when he converted a free for the winning score four minutes from time just when it appeared Trillick were going to draw for the second successive game.
The visitors were out of the traps quickly with four points on the board by the tenth minute with Proinsias O'Kane and Daniel McDonald scoring a brace each.
County minor duo Kevin Mossey and Diarmuid McNulty registered all five of Gortin's first half points between them but they still trailed at the break with Niall Donnelly and Denis Connolly supplying points for the reds.
On the restart McNulty and Mattie Donnelly traded scores before Pete O'Neill levelled matters until Donnelly decided the issue with that late free
Edendork 1-14 Derrylaughan 0-15
At the fifth time of asking Edendork finally made it into the winners' enclosure when they had a hard fought win at home to Derrylaughan.
It was honours even at the break, 0-8 apiece, with Garry McCurry and Mark McLernon on target for the St.Malachys with Fergal McAliskey and Ciaran Gervin getting all bar one of the Kevin Barrys' points in response.
Within seven minutes of the restart the visitors had forged four points clear through Brendan Quinn, Ciaran Quinn, Gervin and McAliskey but a McCurry goal in the 18th minute gave Edendork a massive boost.
And efforts from Niall Morgan and McLernon helped them draw level before John McGuckin put them in front in the final minute as they held on for a badly needed victory which they hope will kickstart their season as they attempt to get away from the danger zone
Killeeshil 0-17 Stewartstown 0-16
Killeeshil started this tie well, scoring the first couple of points but when Stewartstown hit a scoring streak of the next six scores, it looked like the Harps would take both points from their trip.
But Killeeshil weren't for lying down and regular scores, spread among seven players, kept them in contention until late in the tie when full forward Jim McMullan popped up with the winner in the second minute of injury time.
Remarkably, Killeeshil led at the break 0-9 to 0-8 setting up a competitive second half that saw the lead change hands several times.
Gareth Devlin levelled immediately after the break with Peter Armour edging the visitors ahead with Paul Dillon doing the same after three home scores restored the home advantage midway through the half.
Stewartstown were back in front as the hour approached but chances to secure the win were squandered allowing Killeeshil to strike late and claim two points from a top class game.
Moy 2-10 Pomeroy 0-9
It took the switch of Sean Cavanagh form midfield to full forward to turn this game in favour of Moy, the win leap-frogging the Tir na nOg's above Pomeroy to a respectable fourth place in Division Two.
Three scores in three minutes handed an early lead to the visitors but a goal from Cavanagh brought Moy back into the game but it came at a price as Cavanagh picked up an injury that kept him out of the game for 15minutes. The injury resulted in a delay as did an incident with a supporter and a Pomeroy player.
That time added on by referee Martin Sludden allowed time for Justin McCaffrey to score that separated the teams at the break 0-7 to 1-3.
A blitz early in the second half turned the game in favour of Moy, five points in a row earning a lead that would never give up with a late goal from Karol McQuade putting a little gloss on the winning margin.
