ALL-COUNTY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE REVIEW
Eglish 5-15 Killyman 0-6
Eglish's wait for a first win of the season is over - and they did it in style with a comprehensive victory over fellow-promoted side Killyman for a result that pushes the St.Marys closer to a return to inte
rmediate football.
The visitors failed to score in the entire first half and in truth it was all over bar the shouting as Eglish established a 1-12 to 0-0 advantage with Peter McCann, Brendan Donnelly, Emmett McKenna and Conor Jordan all hitting a brace of points each - with Jordan also bagging a goal at the end of the half.
Killyman had the first four points of the second period through Conor Boyle, Brian McKenna, Marcus McGahan and defender Declan Boyle.
But the St.Patricks quickly reasserted themselves with Caolan Daly, Conal Martin, Jordan and substitute Sean McKillion all finding the net for a result that is sure to do wonders for their confidence

Clonoe 2-9 Omagh 0-9
Clonoe returned to winning ways at O'Rahilly Park on Thursday evening when they had half a dozen points to spare over Omagh in a contest were the hosts laid the foundation for victory in the opening half hour.
The St.Endas were out of the traps quickly and Cathal McCarron, John McPeake, Conor McMahon and Jason McAnula had all raised a white flag by the tenth minute but that was to prove to be the sum total of their first half efforts as the O'Rahillys took over.
PJ Lavery bagged a 15th minute goal and not long after they found the net again when Colm Donnelly's attempt for a point sailed all the way to the net.
Clonoe led 2-5 to 0-4 at the interval and, even though McCarron, Hugh Gallagher and the returning Justin McMahon all had points for the visitors in the second half, Clonoe managed to keep a safe distance with the help of Patrick Doris and Damian Burke scores

Dromore 3-9 Loughmacrory 0-9
Dromore fielded without a number of top players, including Colm McCullagh, Ryan McMenamin and Eoin McCusker; but, with top scorer Ronan Ward missing through suspension, Loughmacrory weren't able to take advantage as the St.Dympnas eased to their seventh win on the bounce.
The visitors had a bright enough start with Enda Ward and Stephen Donaghy among their points but the hosts soon found their rhythm and a couple of Barry Collins points were added to by a last minute Shane McMahon goal for an advantage that they never looked like losing.
The Donaghys Stephen and Emmett reduced the deficit on the restart but when McMahon got on the end of an Aidan Goodwin cross to punch to the net it was effectively game over.
Sean O'Neill and defender Mark Teague weighed in with further points for the county champions before Emmett O'Neill put the icing on the cake with their third major late on

Coalisland 0-5 Carrickmore 0-13
Carrickmore's perfect start to the season looked to be in trouble at Fr Campbell Park as they trailed by three points with less than twenty minutes played; but, amazingly, the Fianna failed to register another score as the visitors assumed complete control.
Coalisland should have been further in front though as Paddy and Martin Early both missed goal opportunities.
Peter Donnelly and Philip Toner both contributed quality scores but by the break the St.Colmcilles had their noses in front at 0-6 to 0-5 with Kevin McNally responsible for four of their points.
The second half was only a couple of minutes old when Paddy Early was denied a goal by a superb save from Plunkett McCallan but by the end of the third quarter Carrickmore were starting to pull away with Barry Daly, Cathal McKeever and Brendan Martin all landing points.
A miserable night was complete for Coalisland when defender Damian Jordan was sent off by referee Stephen McNamee for a second yellow card offence

Donaghmore 1-7 Aghyaran 0-13
This was a game that Donaghmore would have been hotly fancied to win but a rejuvenated Aghyaran side stretched their unbeaten run to three games with a thoroughly deserved victory at Fr Eamon Devlin Park.
The home side got the boost of a fortunate Shane Mulgrew goal as his effort for a point dropped in over the head of Aghyaran keeper Mark McMenamin; but, despite three points from the boot of Niall McCaul, they still trailed at the interval, Martin Penrose and Michael Anderson among the St.Davogs points.
It took Donaghmore twenty six minutes to get off the mark in the second period when Mulgrew converted a free by which time the game was getting away from their grasp as Penrose took his personal tally to seven with county minor Aidan Connolly also on target in a low scoring second half

Cookstown 2-6 Ardboe 1-10
Not for the first time in his career, Frank McGuigan proved to be the Ardboe matchwinner as he fired over the winning point three minutes from time to leave Cookstown empty handed from a game were they will feel that they should have taken something from it.
The home side got off to a good start when Barry Hughes converted a sixth minute penalty after Raymond Mulgrew was hauled down when breaking through but the visitors led 1-5 to 1-2 at halftime after getting a penalty goal of their own, Kyle Coney on target after Brian McGuigan was fouled.
In the second half Martin Murray and Mulgrew exchanged points with McGuigan before Cookstown substitute Conor Mullan got on the end of a Ryan Pickering flick to run through and fire to the net.
That levelled the match but crucially the Father Rocks then hit four or five wides and it was to prove costly as McGuigan's seventh point of the night claimed the spoils.

Errigal Ciaran 1-15 Killyclogher 2-7
Errigal Ciaran chalked up their fifth win in a row when they got the better of fourteen man Killyclogher at Dunmoyle, Sean O'Kane dismissed for a second yellow card offence by referee John Kerlin nine minutes from time.
Sixty seconds earlier the home side had got much needed breathing space when Ronan McRory pulled on a loose ball to send it to the net.
Errigal Ciaran led by the minimum margin at the break with Adrian O'Donnell and Caolan Tierney supplying points, Leo Meenan having given the visitors a perfect start with a third minute goal after following up his own penalty which had been saved by John Devine.
Two O'Donnell points then edged the hosts further in front before Damian Meenan levelled matters with Killyclogher's second goal of the night. O'Donnell, Enda McGinley and substitute Peter Harte added points either side of McRory's major - and it proved to be enough despite late scores from Meenan brothers, Leo and Brian.

Galbally 0-7 Kildress 0-12
This championship dress rehearsal went the way of Kildress and Galbally can have few complaints on the day as their poor run of form shows no sign of ending.
Despite playing against a stiff breeze it was the Wolfe Tones who raced into a 0-4 to 0-1 lead thanks to efforts from Des Treacy and defender Martin Loughran.
But, by the break the Pearses had reduced the deficit to the minimum with Aidan McCrory and Peter Gillespie both on target.
Declan Murphy levelled matters on the restart but that was as good as it got for the hosts and Kildress had the points virtually in the bag by the three quarter stage as Frank McGurk, Martin Grimes and Treacy all tagged on points.
It took two good saves from Mickey Corr to deny Frank McGurk and midfielder Paul McGurk and a poor afternoon for Galbally was complete six minutes from time when Aidan McCrory was red carded by Eglish whistler John McCann
