DUNGANNON'S Ryan Farquhar has formally completed an agreement to race a Superbike on the roads next season for the British Superbike MSS Colchester Kawasaki team.
The 33-year-old from Killyman confirmed the news at the NEC Bike Show in Birmingham.
Farquhar has enjoyed a long and successful association with Nick Morgan's MSS enterprise, which includes a clean sweep of Supersport 600cc races at North West 200, Isle of Man TT and Ulster Grand Prix in 2005 – the last time he rode in the official MSS colours.
Since then, he has continued to receive support from highly respected tuner Morgan, but next season Farquhar will have the team's full backing as he bids to achieve one of the few remaining goals he craves in road racing – a Superbike victory at international level.
This year, Farquhar dominated the headlines on the national scene, racking up an incredible 61 victories on his way to toppling Ballymoney legend Joey Dunlop's record tally of 119 national successes, a feat few believed would be accomplished.
