Omagh second best in U21 final

Omagh failed in their bid to win their second Ulster title of 2010 when they lost out to Burren in the U21 decider at Creggan on Sunday, writes Kevin Kelly.
It was a gallant bid from a youthful St.Endas side that contained no fewer than nine players in their starting line up who had picked up Ulster minor medals back in January when winning the St.Pauls tournament in Belfast.
Omagh enjoyed their fair share of possession over the course of the sixty minutes but Down champions Burren proved to be more economical in front off the posts with a series of eye catching scores from distance in the second period while their opponents over played the ball at times when getting into the scoring zone.
The game was scarcely thirty seconds old when Conor McMahon got in behind the Burren defence to smash the ball to the net past keeper Cathal Murdock. It was just the start that they had hoped for but Burren didn't panic and they landed a couple of points from centre half forward Sean Murdock.
