St. Patricks Academy Dungannon made it through to their third Ulster colleges' final of the season when they proved too strong for St.Pats Maghera in an entertaining affair at Ballinderry on Thursday afternoon
A fifth minute goal from full forward Keifer Morgan sent them on their way and, by the tenth minute, they were 1-4 to 0-0 ahead, Liam Gervin hitting three points.
Morgan and team captain Shea McGarrity tagged on further quality scores as they led 1-8 to 0-4 at the break, Jack Kielt and Martin Burke on target for the Derry lads.
Three points in as many minutes from Kielt reduced the deficit on the restart but a Gervin penalty settled Dungannon nerves and they never looked back as they restricted their opponents to just one score from play, Kielt with all bar one of his side's total.
Morgan completed his hat trick with another two majors in the final quarter as the Academy ran out 4-10 to 0-13 winners.
They now play Omagh CBS or St.Marys Magherafelt in the final.
