Senior Championship

Donaghmore v Killyclogher
Carrickmore, Thursday 6.45pm
Two sides who have been struggling for form in the league get the race for the O'Neill Cup under way in the first of a double bill at Carrickmore. 2003 winners Killyclogher will look for big performances from ace attacker Leo Meenan as well as county defender Dermot Carlin, although they will badly miss the services of Martin Swift who has gone to the USA. Donaghmore reached the semis last season and Damian McCaul, Shane Mulgrew and Kelvin Hughes can help the St.Patricks reverse the result in a league meeting.
Times Tip - Donaghmore

Clonoe v Errigal Ciaran
Carrickmore, Thursday 8.15pm
A cracker is on the cards between two sides among the favourites to go all the way. Damian Cassidy has taken the reigns of the O'Rahillys and they are going well in the league, having lost only once to date. Colm Donnelly, Patrick Doris and Shane Coney are among their key players. Errigal know what it takes to win the O'Neill Cup and will have the edge in experience, with players such as Davy Harte, John Devine and Adrian O'Donnell within their ranks. But Clonoe are taken to edge a close contest.
Times Tip - Clonoe

Killyman v Coalisland
Dungannon, Friday 8.15pm
A local derby and raging hot favourites Coalisland will do well not to underestimate Killyman. The St.Marys demonstrated last season that league form counts for nothing when it comes to the championship and they will look for big displays from Conor Boyle, Paul McVeigh and Eddie Holland. Having gone all the way to the final last year, the Fianna know is required at this level and Peter Donnelly, Martin Early and Brian Toner should help ease them into the quarter-final.
Times Tip - Coalisland

Dromore v Omagh
Trillick, Friday 8pm
Over the years defending champions have always found the first hurdle the most difficult to get over and Dromore will have their work cut out against an in-form Omagh side. The St.Dympnas are tried and test in the heat of championship battle and last season's overdue success will stand to them and they have a side laced with quality players such as Ryan McMenamin, Colm McCullagh and Cathal McCarron. It will all depend on which Omagh turns up. Twelve months ago big things were expected of the St.Endas but they were well beaten by Coalisland. With players such as the McMahon brothers Joe and Justin, as well as Dean O'Neill, they are well capable of an upset. But the holders are taken to go through.
Times Tip - Dromore

Kildress v Galbally
Pomeroy, Sunday 2pm
These two sides met in the league, with Kildress winning by a comfortable margin and, while that will count for little at Plunkett Park, the Wolfe Tones are still warm favourites to go through. They were the only side to give eventual champions Dromore a run for their money last season and, with Fran Loughran, Martin Grimes and Des Treacy on board, they will feel that they are capable of a good run. Galbally are in a rut at the moment and this will be a welcome release for them but, without former county player Mickey Murphy, they are really up against it - despite the efforts of Paul Rafferty and Martin Brannigan.
Times Tip - Kildress

Eglish v Cookstown
Pomeroy, Sunday 3.30pm
An opportunity for one of these struggling teams to make it through to the last eight of the championship, Eglish go into this on the back of improved league form and they will look for big performances from Brendan Donnelly, Conal Martin and Peter McCann. Cookstown reached the semi-finals last season and would love to build on that. But a lot will depend on the availability of county duo Raymond Mulgrew and Owen Mulligan - below. Both sides could well struggle in the scoring department and it may need a replay to decide the outcome.
Times Tip - Draw

Aghyaran v Ardboe
Killyclogher, Sunday 6.30pm
In recent seasons Aghyaran have performed well in the championship without getting past the opening rounds and they will start as underdogs against Ardboe, despite having the services of Martin Penrose, Michael Anderson and Anthony Devine. The Rossas will always be among the fancied sides and they were the last winners from the east exactly a decade ago. Tommy McGuigan, Frank McGuigan and Kyle Coney will lead their charge for honours this time round and, if Brian McGuigan is available, they should have too much in the tank for the St.Davogs.
Times Tip - Ardboe

Loughmacrory v Carrickmore
Killyclogher, Sunday 8pm
These parish neighbours go head to head in the second leg of the Killyclogher double-bill and, while the formbook goes out the window when it comes to the championship, it's difficult to look beyond record holders Carrickmore. Raymond Munroe's men are unbeaten in the league but it's O'Neill Cup success that they crave and the addition of Cathal McKeever to their side to complement the likes of Conor Gormley and Kevin McNally leaves them among the fancied sides once more. Loughmacrory have nothing to lose and, no doubt, will give it their best shot as they attempt to create an upset. But, despite the best efforts of Ronan Ward, Ciaran Meenagh and Mickey McGee, that is unlikely to happen.
Times Tip - Carrickmore

Intermediate Championship

Moy v Moortown
Dungannon, Friday 6:45pm
An all-east clash to open this season's intermediate championship, it's between two sides who will feel they can go far - if they get over this hurdle. Moy will start as favourites with Sean Cavanagh, Philip Jordan, Ryan Mellon and Colm Cavanagh within their ranks. But the St.Malachys always save their best for the championship. They lost out in the final last year but, in spite of the best efforts of PJ Quinn, Colum Campbell and Michael Hagan, their interest is likely to end earlier this time round.
Times Tip - Moy

Junior Championship

Clogher v Beragh
Tattyreagh, Tuesday 8pm
A bumper week of championship action kicks off tonight at Tattyreagh when Clogher and Beragh go head to head in the preliminary round of the junior competition. It's a long way back for Beragh who lost out in last year's final after a tight replay to subsequent All-Ireland finalists Rock. Clogher always play well in the championship without really making the breakthrough and, even though this tie could go either way, it could well boil down to a shoot-out between Martin Rodgers and Ciaran Shields - with the Eire Ogs club taken to prevail.
Times Tip - Clogher
