Celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the opening of Alan Brown and Company where held on Friday night (21st) June at Ballydougan Pottery.

Local business man Alan Brown established the business firstly in Dungannon in 1972 then a year later opened and office in William Street, Lurgan. A third office was opened some 13 years ago in Banbridge.

Now managed and owned by Colin Atkinson, Jayne Atkinson and Simon Brown, AB&C Insurance continues to provide the same local family based service whilst providing competitive private and commercial insurance solutions from leading companies.

Commenting at the evening, Alan said, “It is hard to believe that 40 years have past so quickly! But I do look back to all those who supported us over the years with gratitude and thanks. I am pleased that the business continues to grow under Colin, Jayne and Simon, and I know they are passionate about ensuring that AB&C Insurance remains a competitive and personal local business into the future.”

Colin Atkinson said, “We are so pleased to be celebrating 40 years as a business serving Lurgan, Banbridge and Dungannon. Despite the changes that we have all seen in the insurance world, one thing has remained - people like local service, they want competitive premiums and a reliability you don’t get without dealing with people face to face.

“Celebrating 40 years in business is a great milestone and we are so looking forward to many years ahead!”
