Advice Roadshow to visit Dungannon Library

DUNGANNON Library will host a special information roadshow next week, and everyone is welcome to come along to find out more about anything from benefits to electricity bills.

The Check it Out Advice Roadshow will take place next Wednesday, June 20, from 11am to 1pm.

This event is being held to give people the opportunity to seek advice and talk to the experts on a range of subjects, including benefit entitlement for your family, money and consumer advice, electricity bills and the Warm Homes Scheme NI.

There will be a wide range of experts on hand, offering advice on how to make your life healthier and less stressful, including a local pharmacist, who will be offering free blood pressure and blood sugar checks.

Family Support NI will be coming along to promote their website which directs the public to all kinds of local services.

The Consumer Council and Beat the Recession will also be on hand to offer advice on how to shop more wisely and make the most of your money during hard times and Volunteer Now will be coming along to share opportunities available for people to volunteer their time and skills, to enhance job opportunities and life skills.

Mary Jo Curran, Information Services Manager with Libraries NI, explains:

“Libraries NI is delighted to be holding a Check it Out Advice Roadshow in our newly refurbished Dungannon Library on Wednesday 20 June and would like to invite everyone to come along to this free library event to find out what you, your parents and your family are missing out on.

“One of the aims of Libraries NI is to promote key information services to the public, so by inviting other services and organisations along to this event, we can offer people in the Dungannon area information and details of services available to them.”

Admission to this event is free, light refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome to come along.
