Cancer charity benefits from Teresa’s kindness

A COALISLAND woman has presented £900 to a cancer charity following a special birthday party held in her honour.

Family and friends of Teresa Kennedy, of Washingbay, surprised her with a party to mark the occasion of her 80th birthday.

All Teresa’s neighbours and relations were in attendance at what was a memorable event at the Washingbay Centre recently.

All proceeds from the function were donated to Marie Curie at Teresa’s request.

Teresa is the wife of the late Brendan, and mother of Petesie, Kevin, Paul, Colette, Maureen and Anne.

Sandra Spence from Marie Curie Cancer Care recently accepted a cheque for £900 from Teresa, Petesie and Anne.
