Castlecaulfield Horticultural Society civic reception

A NUMBER of Society members recently attended a civic reception held by Dungannon and South Tyrone District Council to thank members for their efforts in enhancing the village as a place to live, work and invest in.

The event was hosted by Mayor Phelim Gildernew and Deputy Mayor Frances Burton to whom the Society thanks and appreciates their kind words and encouragement as working partners to help continue the efforts by the Society, volunteers and villagers alike to strive to improve on their successive 3rd place in the annual Ulster in Bloom competition.

Santa and Mrs Claus will be parading through the village on Saturday 8th December and will arrive at the Parish Hall at 11.00am. Once there, children will be able to meet Santa and Mrs Claus in their grotto and if on good behaviour will receive a small present. Refreshments will be available. See posters in village shops for more details.

The Annual Show will take place at Parkanaur on Saturday 17th August 2013.

The next meeting will be the AGM on Wednesday 16th January at 8.00pm in the Parish Hall.
