Coca-Cola Thank You Fund
COCA-Cola have issued a reminder to Co Tyrone non-profit organisations to apply to the ‘Coca-Cola Thank You Fund’.
The initiative, which is making £103/€125K available to community and voluntary groups promoting active lifestyles throughout the island of Ireland, is open for entries until July 6th, 2012.
Supported by the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) and the Wheel applications are being accepted online at www.coca-cola.ie/thankyou.
Maire Campbell, Public Affairs and Communications Director, Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: “During 2012 Coca-Cola through its ‘Thank You Fund’ will distribute a total of £103K / €125K in awards to voluntary organisations which will help people adopt and enjoy more active lifestyles. We are especially interested in hearing about new and innovative ideas which need seed funding to get off the ground and good ideas which we can help make a reality. We would encourage all community and voluntary groups which are working within this arena to apply!”
In total £103/€125K will be given out to eligible organisations with ten projects receiving €10,000 grants and one outstanding overall winner being awarded €25,000. The project selected will represent best practice and will be a creative, innovative initiative capable of being replicated in other communities.
After the closing date a judging panel consisting of Coca‑Cola, The Wheel and the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action will create a shortlist of 45 organisations which will be published on the Coca-Cola website on September 1st, 2012. Public vote will then account for 50% of the final decision and a vote by an expert judging panel will account for the remaining 50%. The winners will be announced by November 2012.
