Dungannon parish launches “The Life in the Spirit Seminars’’
ON October 11th 2012 we will begin a “Year of Faith”.
Here in St, Patrick’s Dungannon the Charasmatic Prayer Group & Dungannon Parish Cluster comprising of (Dungannon, Edendork, Killyman,Clonmore, Eglish, Moy & Clonfeacle, will offer to all the opportunity to take part in,’’The Life in the Spirit Seminars’’ beginning on Wednesday 19th September 2012, for 5 consecutive Wednesday nights in The Convent of Mercy, Northland Row, Dungannon.
Have you ever asked yourself, “What is the role of the Holy Spirit? What is the Holy Spirit’s function in my life? And, how do I respond to the Holy Spirit’s inspiration?”
If so these seminars could be the stepping stone to bring you to a new awareness and a deeper relationship with God, especially through the working of the Holy Spirit.
Participants are invited to pray for the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” which was evident in the Upper Room as the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Church at Pentecost, It is an invitation to “fan into a flame” that same gift of the Holy Spirit that was given to us at Baptism and Confirmation, its an opportunity to renew our Baptism.
But what can the Holy Spirit really do for me in my life? Well quite simply he can lead me to a better personal relationship with Jesus. Help me better appreciate the Eucharist. Seek Jesus in the Eucharist, Scriptures and the Bible. Help me to pray more effectively. Lead me to become a better Christian. Give me boldness to be more active in my community. Help me be a better parent, neighbour, and citizen. Lead me to be all God created me to be. Help me deal with some of my personal problems. Make real the power of the sacraments. Help me lead a happier life. So if you are looking for a closer relationship with God, please feel free to come and join us in ‘’The Life in the Spirit Seminars’’ on Wednesday 19th September at 8pm in The Convent of Mercy, Dungannon.
