Horticultutral Society aims to improve on Ulster in Bloom 3rd place

AT the recent meeting of Castlecaulfield Horticultural Society members and guests were treated to a demonstration of home wine making by local resident Aiden Cooke.

An interesting and informative evening was enhanced with the pleasure of enjoying some of Aiden’s excellent wines.

Following on from our success in attaining 3rd place in Ulster in Bloom 2012, we would like fellow villagers to come up with ideas as to how the village can improve itself for next year’s entry. If you have a suggestion that is both practical and achievable we would love to hear from you. Please pass on your idea to Harold Armstrong or drop it through his letterbox by Friday 26th October.

Calling all mums and dads with children who would like to visit Santa Claus. He will be in the village on Saturday morning 8th December. Make a note in your diary and watch this space for further details.

The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 21st November at 8.00pm in the Parish hall.
