THE Clonmore Players are set to entertain the crowds once more with upcoming production of Wedding Fever.

The group previously enthralled audiences with their popular Wake in the West in 2009 and Widow’s Paradise in 2011, and it seems that ‘W’ is a much favoured initial of the group as they hope this current offering will ‘Wow’ and ‘Win’ the hearts of all who come to see it.

Another production written by the popular Sam Cree, the play is set in 60s Belfast and tells the story of a family in the run up to the daughter’s wedding in the middle of a strike.

There are some very strong and comical characters portrayed by many cast members from the previous two productions and a few new faces.

Directed once more by Gerard Cunningham, the group has been hard at work over the past two months rehearsing in Clonmore Hall, the stage for this new production.

Gerard says, “We have been producing plays every other year since 2009 as a novel fundraiser for the local football club and other groups here in the Clonmore area.

“It is an opportunity to show off local talent but moreso to bring a bit of laughter and enjoyment particularly in the more dreary and wintery months of the year. We hope that Wedding Fever will be as well supported and received as our previous plays.”

The play takes place on Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March in Clonmore Hall with doors opening at 7.30pm and the play starting at 8pm sharp.

Tickets are £10 with concession tickets for under 16s and OAPs on Friday night only £5. Tickets available from any committee member of Clonmore GFC or by calling the box office on 07793 227297.
