Women’s Institute begins new season

THE Women’s Institute is a social and educational organisation primarily for women who live in a rural setting and new members are always welcome.

Moy Women’s Institute commences its new season on Tuesday 18 September when the subject will be Health Foods with a speaker from Linwoods. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7.45 pm in the Community Centre, Dungannon Street, Moy.

A variety of speakers has been arranged for Moy WI’s monthly meetings covering craft, history, the Olympics and Food – making it, selling it and sampling it. Outings are usually also arranged during the course of a year. A committee is elected annually and the current President is Miss Annie Toner. Annie and her committee would be delighted to welcome new members from old and new residents in the Moy area.
