Hannah appointed to Safefood Advisory Board

LOCAL woman, Hannah Su (Pictured), from Dungannon, has been appointed to safefood’s new advisory board.

Ms Su, who is currently working for the Southern Health Trust on a community-based health promotion project, joins eight other new board members on the 12-person board, including those from the catering, agriculture and community sectors.

With a background in the legal and community and voluntary sector, Ms Su has previously worked for a non-profit organisation to help empower the Chinese Community in the local area.

Ms Su recently stood for election in Dungannon Town and Fermanagh and South Tyrone. She is also involved in her family-owned Chinese takeaway business, Su’s Welcome in Dungannon.

Appointed by the North-South Ministerial Council, the new board will support safefood’s Chief Executive, Mr Martin Higgins in his work and provide advice on strategic matters relating to food produced and consumed on the island of Ireland.
