Spraying of footpaths

DUNGANNON Town Councillor Kim Ashton has welcomed the news from the Department of Regional Development that the spraying of footpaths has commenced this week in the Dungannon Borough.

She Said: “I have received some complaints recently regarding weeds and moss growing on the footpaths in Dungannon Town and in residential areas in Moygashel. 2012 will see many celebrations in our town and villages and it is important that both the Council and Road Service do everything they can to ensure all areas are kept to a high standard, to make the Borough as welcoming as possible.

“I was pleased when I contacted Roads Service that they informed me that they had already commenced spraying of weeds in the Dungannon Borough and the Moygashel area was scheduled to be completed within a short period weather permitting.”
