The visit of Kieran Hunt, first team masseur, strengthened the already strong links between the London team and the Donaghmore school.
The school has a host of signed first team photographs, on the gym walls, wishing it’s GAA teams well. Van Persie, Aaron Ramsey and ex-Gunner Fabregas are among those on display.
Theo Walcott sent a signed jersey for a recent raffle. Jack Wilshere can be seen on the school’s website wishing junior prize giving winners a happy Christmas.
Kieran visited from London and spoke of his journey to a career with Arsenal FC via work in cricket and rugby. Sports students from St Joseph’s, Coalisland and Donaghmore heard of how technical the game of professional football has become with players being given ipads covering their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses.
Kieran is soon heading off with the first team on pre season games to Nigeria and the Far East. He invited Mr McGrath, (pictured), an avid Arsenal fan to bring a group to the Emirates for a Premier League game and the opportunity to go pitch side after the game.
