Terex host family day
Taking the train at the Terex factory open day.
TEREX Dungannon last week hosted a family open day at the Coalisland Road factory before the new school year got underway.
Over 1000 Team Members and their families attended the event where games, activities and fun were enjoyed by all. One of the highlights of the day was a guided tour of the factory by train. The tour offered a chance for all to see where their family members work, manufacturing Powerscreen and Terex Finlay machines for a global customer base.
A prize draw was held in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and raised £1800 for the local charity. It provides care for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across Northern Ireland, and supports their families and those close to them.
The event also provided an opportunity for Damian Power, Terex Dungannon General Manager, to publically thank Terence McNally for his contribution to Powerscreen and Terex as he retires after over 40 years of work at the Dungannon factory. A leaving party was held in the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown, attended by Terry’s colleagues and family.
