Country stars Lisa McHugh and Nathan Carter joined Helen Donnelly from More Power To Your Elbow and organisers for the launch of the 2012 Hooley in the Valley.

THE launch has taken place for this year’s ‘Hooley in the Valley’ music festival that boasts a top quality line-up from August 9-12th.

Country stars Lisa McHugh and Nathan Carter joined Helen Donnelly from More Power To Your Elbow at McKenna’s Bar in Augher to flag up the Augher Summer Festival event.

Lisa and Nathan will be making their respective Valley Hooley debuts, both performers proving very popular with audiences wherever they play as they continue to earn rave reviews.

More Power To Your Elbow have been entertaining people in their inimitable style for a number of years and their appeal remains as strong as ever.

A teenage disco opens the hooley programme on Thursday, August 9th. Nathan Carter and his band then feature on Friday and More Power To Your Elbow return by popular demand on Saturday before Lisa McHugh and band close the hooley on Sunday.

At a more sedate pace, a bingo session will take place during the day on Sunday, ensuring something for everyone.

There will be more up-dates closer to the time but for now don’t forget to keep August 9th-12th 2012 free in your summer diary for what promises to be quite a festival down Clogher Valley way.
