If it’s a new year and it’s January, then it’s time for the annual festivity of fun that is the Stewartstown Dramatic Society’s family panto and this year it’s no exception, as the group presents ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ at the Burnavon theatre, Cookstown from this Friday 10th to Saturday 25th January.

Yes, there’s a beautiful Snow White, played by Emily Gribbin, and a handsome Prince Sebastian (Chloe O’Loan). Of course, there’s the evil Queen Aspyhxia (Roisin McGrath), the traditional panto Dame Gertrude Greenfly, played with panache as always by John Glendinning, and seven dwarfs (Adam Brimage, Daniel Burns, Katie Hammond, Clare Mulgrew, Thomas Doris, Sean Gallagher and Ailise Wylie). And there’s plenty of singing and dancing, great music, slapstick, gags and seriously good fun.

The always popular family matinees on Saturdays at 2pm are at the time of writing sold out, with strong sales for other weekend performances. This year, the performances on Friday nights are at 8pm, but the Saturday night performances have been moved to 7.30pm to cater for families with young children.

Most of the cast have been on the Burnavon stage before, and behind the scenes a familiar cast member and long serving member of the Society, Hilary McCammon has taken on the role of Artistic Director for the first time.

Performances run through until Saturday 25th January and tickets are £10 and £8 concession for all performances, except Friday 10th which has a special offer price of £7 for all tickets. Contact the Burnavon Box Office on 028 8676 9949 to book your seats, or go online at
