Thirty agency workers at the Sandvik engineering firm in Ballygawley have been laid off.
However, the company said the core workforce had grown by more than 200 in the last year.
A spokeswoman from the firm said 50 agency staff remain: “Right now we supplement our workforce at the Sandvik Mobile Crushing & Screening unit in Ballygawley with flexible agency workers. The temporary workers referred to in this particular case are employed by Diamond Recruitment from Belfast.”
While there has been a “reduction in agency workers in response to natural variation in demand”, the company said, no permanent staff lost their jobs.
