Clonoe Boxing Club has appealed to the local community to assist them with their search for new premises.

The club, which has trained champions such as Tommy Corr and Conrad Cummings to name a few, issued the call to action on Friday afternoon.

As we have to vacate our premises on 30th April we are appealing to the public to help us find new premises for a short time, as we progress to acquire a new build in the near future

A message on the club’s Facebook page read:

“As we have to vacate our premises on 30th April we are appealing to the public to help us find new premises for a short time, as we progress to acquire a new build in the near future.

“Any support will be greatly appreciated to help us keep our club going. Unfortunately, as many of you are aware we are facing difficult times but we know that the great community and public support will keep us going.”

The club celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2012. It has been operating perated from the Washingbay Road after initially being located in Annaghmore.
