A Dungannon man caught with a quantity of cannabis when questioned by police over possible driving offences has been fined a total of £765 and banned from driving.
Jacek Kadlov was pulled over at a police checkpoint on the Gort Link Road on March 13 this year.
Dungannon Magistrates heard that when questioned by police, the Lisnahull Gardens resident admitted he had neither a driving licence or insurance.
After being arrested by police for those offences, the court heard it was then discovered that the 20-year-old had cannabis in his trousers pocket.
The vehicle and drugs were both seized.
Kadlov, who was said in court to earn around £260 per week, was ordered to pay a fine of £400 for driving without a licence, £250 for having no insurance, £100 for possession of drugs and must pay an offenders levy of £15.
He was also disqualified from driving for six months.
