‘Deliberate’ blaze at Coalisland home led to evacuation of nearby property

Police are seeking help from the public after a house in Coalisland was ‘deliberately’ set alight leading to the evacuation of another home nearby.

The incident took place in Innishmore Gardens in the early hours of November 22.

Police investigating the fire at the property are treating it as ‘deliberate’.

Detective Inspector Will Tate said: “It was reported at around 1.25am on November 22nd, that a house was on fire in the Innishmore Gardens area.

“The house was unoccupied at the time, however, it is understood a nearby property had to be evacuated.

“We are currently investigating the circumstances however, at this stage, we are treating the fire as deliberate.
