Enquiries are ongoing after a quantity of Class A drugs were found by police working with a tactical support group in Cookstown on Tuesday.

Police raided a home on the Tullyveagh Road, where they seized a quantity of suspected methedrone, and a 45-year-old man was arrested.

It appears the drugs were hidden in the frame of a bed as well as tube-like container that was found in a hedge outside a local property.

Assistant Chief Constable tweeted pictures of the suspected drugs that were discovered with the hashtag ‘keeping people safe’.

The man has since been released on bail and is helping police with their enquiries.
