It seems someone got a bit mixed up when they were putting up the flags for Dungannon’s annual Ceremony of Light, in which parishoners were confirmed over the weekend.

The yellow and white Papal flags, which bear the Vatican City coat of arms, were spotted upside down by an eagle-eyed church goer.

Although the yellow and white were in the proper order, the emblem was the wrong way round for the confirmation services at St Patrick’s PS in Dungannon on Saturday (May 7) and other parish schools on Sunday (May 8).
