The memory of a Dungannon woman will be kept alive thanks to a fundraising event held by her family and friends.

Local photographer, Gerry Harte, made a special presentation to the District Nursing Team based at South Tyrone Hospital in the town, in memory of his late wife Imelda.

Thanks to the generosity of the Harte family, from Springdale in Dungannon, the team will now be able to benefit from sixteen new nursing bags.

Gerry is pictured here handing over one of the new nursing bags to team leader Ruth Simpson and members of the District Nursing Team.

The nursing bags were purchased by monies which were raised at a fundraising event held at Quinn’s Corner in Ballygawley recently.

The District Nursing Team, under the auspices of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, provides care to patients living in the Dungannon and Armagh areas.

The localities which are covered by the service include Moy, Clogher, Coalisland, Caledon and Aughnacloy.
