A Dungannon woman has been given a conditional discharge for 12 months by East Tyrone Magistrates Court for selling intoxicating liquor without a licence.
Anne Patricia Brace, 46, of Killyman Road was charged with the offence in relation to an incident on February 15 at Stangmore Town House.
A court heard how police called at 11am to the Stangmore House to check the licence, and spoke to the defendant who told them there was no licence in place.
Police returned to the premises later that evening at 8.45pm and observed alcohol being consumed on the premises. Ms Brace was subsequently cautioned for the offence.
A defence solicitor for Ms Brace told the court it was a special Valentine’s weekend event at the restaurant and she ahd contacted all the clients to tell them to bring their own alcohol but there was one table she couldn’t get in touch with.
