ASDA has launched a search for four inspirational women who have been affected by breast cancer to be the face of this year’s Tickled Pink campaign in Northern Ireland.
Four women, whether they have been diagnosed with breast cancer, cared for someone with breast cancer or fundraised for breast cancer charities and whose personal story demonstrates courage, resilience and positivity will be selected for a fantastic hair, beauty and photo shoot experience - as well as a personal styling consultation with regional manager for George in NI, Kim Walsh and £200 of George fashion vouchers.
Kim explained they are looking for four women from Northern Ireland who embody that fearlessness and positivity for a day of glamour and fun on September 30. The regional manager said they are calling on everyone in Cookstown to call in to the store to nominate a woman they know who has been affected in some way by breast cancer for this fabulous prize.
Nominees could be someone who has battled breast cancer and won or who is still fighting the disease. The competition is also open to those who care for women with breast cancer, either professionally or at home. Anyone involved in the fight against breast cancer can be nominated by filling in a nomination slip at the Community Board in Asda Cookstown.
The competition closes at 5pm on Friday, September 20 and successful nominees will be notified in the following week.
The theme for this year’s fundraiser is ‘Pink Is The New Black’ and as well as generating funds through fabulous fashion pieces - such as those modelled here by X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke - fundraising will take place in every store during October.
Entrants to the makeover competition must be available on the morning of September 30 and available to travel to Asda’s flagship store at Junction One Retail Park, Antrim. Nominees must also be comfortable with taking part in publicity surrounding the campaign. Full terms and conditions are available on NI store pages on Asda.com.
