Floods fail to dampen spirit of Christmas for Dungannon school children

Santa paid a special visit to the children of Sperrinview Special School and Howard Primary School after his Toy Emporium at the Linen Green was closed due to flooding.

The devastation caused to businesses and property at the Linen Green shopping complex in Moygashel was significant thanks to Storm Desmond recently, but it didn’t manage to stop kind hearted staff from bringing the magic of Christmas to children from two local primary schools.

Santa’s Toy Emporium at the designer retail outlet has been closed temporarily while Santa and his Elves continued to work hard to repair damage caused by the previous weekend’s floods.

While The Emporium was due to reopen to the general public on Friday 11 December, Howard Primary School and Sperrin View Special School had made bookings for their children to visit two days before that.

And rather than disappoint the children, staff from the Linen Green decided to take the experience to them, resulting in Santa and his team making a lot of children very happy. Some places are still available at Santa’s Toy Emporium, which remains open until the 23 December and can be booked at www.thelinengreen.co.uk
