Yes, the summer may well be reaching its conclusion, but the Burnavon in Cookstown has plenty to take your mind off the approaching dark nights with a feast of entertainment for all the family over the coming months.

Stand-up comic Sean Lock, of 8 Out of 10 Cats/Cats Does Countdown fame, will grace the stage in Cookstown, along with local comedy talent William Caulfield Live and Micky Bartlett in October.

Open Door Theatre Company and playwright Carol Doey give us both sides of the coin with their performance of new play, Tragedy 2 Comedy (Two Masks).

Music lovers will be excited to hear Scotland’s finest RUSH tribute band, Moving Pictures, while The Bjorn Identity will appear at the Burnavon for the first time in October.

There’s plenty of drama too, with Green Shoot Production’s one woman show, Two Sore Legs, directed by Martin Lynch, starring Maria Connolly and written by Brenda Murphy (A Night with George), while Ballet Ireland return in November with the classic Coppélia, and Stewartstown Annual Dramatic Society round off the season in January 2016 with The Wizard of Oz, directed by Brian Morgan. See www.burnavon.com for more details on all shows.
