Bra walk in Cookstown on Friday night

Action cancer is inviting men, women and children to take part in the Cookstown Action Cancer Group’s new event - The Bra Walk.

A five mile walk taking place on Friday 5th June, The Bra Walk will help to raise vital funds for Action Cancer’s range of local services.

The walk will begin at the Church in Church Street, at 7pm. All ages are encouraged to take part in the fun-filled family event, and there is no registration fee. Instead, the charity is asking people to help raise funds for their local Cookstown Action Cancer Group, which helps the charity continue to save lives and support people.

Action Cancer’s provide a range of early detection and support services for those suffering from cancer in Northern Ireland and their families. These services include a unique breast screening programme for women aged between 40 – 49 and over 70, MOT health checks for men and women across the country, counselling, health promotion, and complementary therapy.

There will be a draw on the night for the chance to win a weekend at a 5 star hotel.

For more information on the walk please call the Cookstown Action Cancer Group members Anne on 079 2275 5637; or Tracy on 077 6115 6495.
