Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage in the Hillcrest Park area of Moygashel last night, Friday 24 February.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “At around 8.25pm it was reported that a Nissan Terrano that was parked in the area had been set on fire. Police and NIFRS attended and the fire was extinguished. The vehicle was destroyed as a result of the fire. Damage was also caused to windows of the house that the vehicle was parked outside and paint was also thrown at the house during the incident.
“Police are working to establish a motive for this incident and are appealing to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or anyone who has any information about this incident to contact officers in Dungannon on 101, quoting reference number 1165 24/02/17. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
