Huge success for Roan St Patrick’s

It has been a very successful second term for the pupils and teachers at Roan St Patrick’s Primary School, Eglish.

The school made history this year winning the All-County Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Hurling competition and the Donaghmore Basketball competition for the first time ever! These successes were followed with the school finishing third in the All-County Indoor Boys’ Football competition for the first time and finishing as All-County runner’s-up in the Camogie competition.

It has been a fantastic year on the quiz front also with the school winning both the U11 and U13 Credit Union local heats as well as winning their heat of the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Quiz competition. These achievements have been added to the school’s Term 1 Cross-Country successes.

The school is also running a very exciting fundraiser this year. The children, staff and parents will run Eglish’s first ever Marathon at Pairc Chormaic!! The Roan Run will take place on Saturday 3rd June and will be a huge event for the school. There are more details on the school’s website, www.roanstpatricks.org.
