A bevy of beauties from Kildress are among those who feature strongly in the next series of Keepin Er Country, which airs on BBC1 this Monday night.

Viewers of the show, which proved a huge hit on our screens last year, will see the glamorous girls - Orlagh O’Neill, Lyndsay Wylie, Emma Mallon, Cliona Hagan, Karuna Gourley and Terina O’Neill - as they prepare to head off to the Cowboys and Heroes festival in Leitrim.

The festival is billed as country music’s version of Electric Picnic, and the Kildress ladies will tell the viewers they are not “the camping type” and that they have chosen a more upmarket accommodation for the event.

Alleycats TV, production company behind Keepin Er Country, which is hosted by Dungannon broadcaster Lynette Fay, promise a wealth of Tyrone and Mid Ulster music lovers and artists alike, including former BBC The Voice contestant Jim Devine and Draperstown woman Cathy McGuigan, who lost six stone through her love of jiving.

From joining Irish country’s biggest star, Nathan Carter, on the road in the run up to his biggest ever gig, to being invited to a country and western themed wedding, this music-driven series will be sure to have you donning your Stetson and line-dancing in the kitchen.

Over the course of Summer 2015, the programme makers have been on the country roads criss crossing Ireland to be part of some of the best country music events, to meet the artists and most importantly to be part of the lives of country music fans who just love it that ‘Ireland’s turning country’.

The series runs for six weeks, every Monday at 10.45pm on BBC1.
