Four year old Jack Ferguson from Aughnacloy was given a starring role in helping to launch the annual Argos Toy Exchange in aid of Barnardo’s NI which helps children and families in need.

Jack, who is pictured having his face painted for the occasion, met with Barnardo’s volunteers Chloe Campbell and Shane Moriarty during a shopping trip recently.

The Toy Exchange encourages customers to donate their pre-loved toys to their local Argos store in exchange for a £5 toy voucher.

The donated toys are then sold in Barnardo’s network of shops across Northern Ireland, in order to raise vital funds for the children’s charity.

In the Dungannon area Barnardo’s provides a Family Resource Centre and offers counselling services for children who have been bereaved.

The Toy Exchange scheme will run until 20 November and vouchers can be exchanged until 24th December.
