Arson attack on Maplebrook house

DETECTIVES in Dungannon are investigating an arson attack on a house in the Maplebrook Way area of Coalisland on Friday night.

Around 10:50pm two men in dark clothing and with balaclavas over their faces were seen running away from the property. Seconds later the house was noted to be on fire. Substantial smoke damage was caused to the property and a number of windows broken.

A motive for the fire has yet to be established.

Anyone who noticed any unusual activity in the area or who has any information is asked to contact detectives at Dungannon on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
