Handbag stolen from car

A HANDBAG has been stolen from a car parked at a church near Fivemiletown.

The handbag contained a purse and personal items and was stolen from Cavanaleck Presbyterian Church between 10am and 10.45am on Sunday. A window was broken to gain access to the car.

David Glass, the crime Prevention Officer for the area, commented: “This was one of several reports over the past few days of valuables being stolen from cars.

“Our advice is that handbags, wallets or other valuables should never be left in unattended cars, even if you think they are well out of sight.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 0845 600 8000 quoting reference number 540 10/06/12. Information can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
