Assault on female denied

A CHARGE of assaulting a female on June 11 is to be contested, East Tyrone Magistrates Court has heard.

The accused, Edward George Hudson 44, from Lisnanane Road, Cookstown is alleged to have caused actual bodily harm to the woman.

He elected to have the case heard at magistrates court and District Judge John Meehan adjourned the case until September 21 when a contest date will be fixed. Hudson was remanded on £200 bail and ordered to have no contact with the injured party.
