Car badly damaged by fire

POLICE in Cookstown are appealing for information about a fire that badly damaged a car.

The Fire and Rescue Service were called out to the blaze at Woodland Drive at about 3am on Thursday October 18.

The fire badly damaged a Ford Fiesta and also a fence.

Meanwhile police are also seeking information after a Vauxhall Astra was found on fire in the middle of Cemetery Road at about 5am on Thursday.

The car had been parked up for about three weeks with a flat battery and police are keen to hear from anyone who saw it being moved.
