Clogher has all the sizzle in best sausages competition

A CLOGHER based butcher has collected the first place prize in a National Sausage Competition.

Gary Coote, of Gary Coote Meats in Clogher recently collected first place in the Tyrone category of the competition.

The awards, organised by the Northern Ireland Pork & Bacon Forum to celebrate the best in local sausages, had over 120 entries and reward local butchers and independent retailers for their dedication and commitment to the local supply chain. Mr Eatwell from Omagh came second and M&W Farm Meats from My Costcutter in Linen Green, Moygashel came third. Also pictured is development chef Sean Owens and Catherine Jennings. The Overall Winner and Housewife’s Choice Award went to Derek Toms of JE Toms & Sons in Portstewart.
