Council send letter to Spence family

DUNGANNON and South Tyrone Borough Council were among those to send a letter of sympathy to the Spence family following the tragic farm accident in Hillsborough.

Ulster rugby star Nevin, his brother Graham and father Noel all died in tragic circumstances last month after they were overcome by slurry gas fumes at the family farm

It was revealed at a recent council meeting that the family had a connection to Dungannon with Essie Spence, wife of Noel and mother of Graham and Nevin, a member of the Cranston family from Dungannon.

The meeting decided that letters of sympathy should be forwarded to both the Spence and Cranston families and also to the President of the Ulster Farmers’ Union regarding farm safety.
