Damage cars probe

POLICE in Magherafelt are urging drivers to take care when parking follow several reports of damage to vehicles in recent days.

Two cars were damaged in the Queens Avenue/Queen Street area sometime between 3pm and 9.45pm on March 13. Damage was also caused to a red Renault Clio parked in the alleyway beside Union Road car park sometime between 8.20am and 5pm on March 15.

If you collide with a parked vehicle do not drive off – do the honourable thing and leave your contact details. If you see someone driving off after hitting a parked car note down their registration and the time and date of the offence and report it to police.

Anyone with information regarding these recent reported incidents is urged to contact police on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
