Drugs accused released on bail

A YOUNG Desertmartin man facing four drugs charges has been released from custody on personal bail of £500.

Leigh Gibson (20), of Moneymore Road, is accused of possessing herbal cannabis, being concerned in the supply of the drug and having it with intent to supply on September 19 and September 25 this year.

District Judge Des Perry acceded to the bail application at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on being told by defence solicitor Stephen Atherton that the defendant’s mother had agreed to have him home.

Mr Perry made it a condition of bail that Gibson is tagged and observes an 11pm to 8am curfew. He adjourned the case until January 23 for an update.
