Firefighters free man from car

A MAN was freed from his car by firefighters after his vehicle left the Derrycourtney Road, Caledon, during icy conditions on Friday morning.

Fire appliances from Dungannon and Armagh stations attended the scene, just before 6am.

A spokesperson for the NI Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) told the Tyrone Times:

“A man was heavily trapped after his car went off the road on the Derrycourtney Road, Caledon.

“Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to release the man after which he was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.”
